Parks

There are large parks on the northwest, east, and southeast edges of Glebe, and some smaller parks inside it.

Blackwattle Bay Park

On the foreshore facing Anzac Bridge, Blackwattle Bay Park has fantastic views. It’s on a foreshore walkway connecting Jubilee Park and the Fishmarkets.

Dr HJ Foley Rest Park

140 Glebe Point Rd - map

The Dr HJ Foley Rest Park is right in the middle of Glebe, at the junction of Bridge Rd and Glebe Point Rd. It has a playground, toilets, and a historic shelter where people used to gather to listen to the radio.

Jubilee Park and Oval

Jubilee Park forms a connected green area with Bicentennial Park I on the waterfront and Federal Park (across Johnston’s Creek in Annandale).

Victoria Park

A green triangle between Paramatta Rd, City Rd and the University, Victoria Park’s most prominent features are the heated outdoor pool and Lake Northam with its birds.

Wentworth Park

On Glebe’s eastern edge, Wentworth Park contains a large Sporting Complex, where there are regular greyhound races, as well as public sporting facilities.
